Chelsey + James 12.31.16

As photographers who connect well with the families and individuals we photograph, we are often gifted with the pleasure of watching our clients grow up. Charissa and I started out working together at a senior portrait studio where our love and understanding of photography grew. I was blessed to photograph the sweet Miss Chelsey Brown in my early days of photography about 9 years ago. My camera fell off a bridge during our session and I was mortified. Chelsey was patient, kind, and so understanding. Well, lucky for us, my camera breaking during our first photo shoot didn't hinder Chelsey's decision when she and James chose Charissa and I to capture their lovely day. The comfort of knowing and already having a relationship with the people we photograph on their wedding day is something Charissa and I get supper excited about. While we do enjoy meeting new couples and making new friends, there is a certain sweetness to photographing someone we have known and grown to love! Thank you Carolina for introducing me to your beloved Brown family so many moons ago.

This lovely Sacramento wedding could not have been more epic. There was literally a snowy white back drop for their first kiss. Then we were all swept away for pictures at the Capitol by limo, in that limo there was mannequin challenge with a little donut eating dance off. For the reception, they hired an awesome ice cream Sunday vendor that came out and actually made the ice-cream right there on the spot with liquid nitrogen. Say what? It was yummy! Their Photo Booth was a huge hit. We ended the night with a sparkler send off that I am pretty sure scared the heck out of Chelsey. All in all, these two seem pretty set for a beautiful life together. I mean, come on, if they ran through the fire tunnel of love and made it out alive I am sure they will do just fine in their lifetime of marriage together. Charissa and I couldn't be happier to have been a part of the their very fun-filled beginning and help celebrate their love!
